In the fishing world, many believed that building an independent sonar mount for pivot-style trolling motors was an impossible task. The way those motors slide and rotate created a mechanical “no-man’s land” that the usual mounts just couldn’t handle.
PivotPoint™ was born from our refusal to accept that limitation. We developed a unique housing and alignment system that stays out of the way of your motor’s movement while giving you total, independent control of your sonar.
It was a breakthrough specifically designed for pivot motors, but the result was so stable and adaptable that it works just as well on traditional scissor-style setups. It’s a simple, rugged solution for a complicated problem—giving you a better experience on the water, no matter what gear you run.

Research
It all starts with identifying a need. We noticed a gap in the market for a mount that enables independent adjustment of forward-facing sonar on trolling motors where the shaft passes through the steering housing. This missing solution sparked the foundation of our innovation process.

Idea & Concept
Through extensive development, the SniperFoot(Now RFL) was born—a game-changing solution that allows anglers to use their trolling motor and forward-facing sonar simultaneously. Its innovative design ensures the sonar transducer can move independently, free from any interference with the trolling motor shaft, giving you unmatched precision and control on the water.

Design & Production
What started as a working prototype built with materials from the garage quickly evolved with the help of a talented team of engineers. Together, we refined the concept into a sleek, minimalist, and scalable design, ensuring both functionality and durability for anglers everywhere.

Sales & Service
RFL will launch through direct sales at events and online, with plans to partner with local retailers and expand into national chains. Initially focused on bass and crappie anglers using forward-facing sonar, we aim to grow our product line with new fishing accessories and ongoing improvements to RFL.

The RFL is now available in multiple versions, including compatibility with the Minn Kota Ultrex, Garmin Force, Lawrence Ghost, Minn Kota Ulterra(Yes, the Ulterra), Minn Kota Terrova, and MotorGuide Xi3. We are continuing to explore designs for additional motors.
